Hasret ARAZ

Hasret ARAZ was born in Istanbul in 1999. She graduated from Beyoglu Anatolian high school and currently continues her undergraduate education in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Uskudar university. She organizes many projects and activities related to her department and related fields. In 2019, she founded Üsküdar University molecular biology and Genetics club and continues as the general secretary of the club. She is a founding-content editor at a Popular Science magazine called SYMBIOSIS in 2021. She receives support from TUBITAK with her project” Making antibiotic resistant Mycobacterium Smegmatis bacteria without resistance by using CRISPR” and continues the work of her project. She works as a co-founder in a company founded under the name HiDNA under the leadership of Cihan Taştan. Under this company, RaDiChal conducts the global Intercollegiate rare diseases genetic treatment project competition and the CRISPR VALLEY platform. Currently, she works on genetic therapies as a research and development officer in the Trgenmer Laboratory of Üsküdar university.
