Özüm KILIÇ

Özüm Kılıç was born in 1999 in Adana. She attended high school at Osmaniye Doğa Collage and currently continues her undergraduate education in Üsküdar University Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. She took part in many organized and social activities as a volunteer since her prep class. She was the head of the organization team at the year-end film festival while she was in the preparatory class. She served as a future councilor on the Science of the Future platform for 1 year. She took part in GBF’19 organized team. She is also a board member of Üsküdar University Molecular Biology and Genetics Club and vice president of Üsküdar University Archery Club. It is a founding member of the Giemsa.net platform, which started broadcasting in April 2020 and aims to produce scientific content. She works as a co-founder in a company founded under the name HiDNA under the leadership of Dr. Cihan Taştan. Under this company, RaDiChal conducts the global intercollegiate rare diseases genetic treatment project competition (RaDiChal). She took part in the HiDNApp project, which is a blockchain-based rare-genetic disease application. Currently, she works on genetic therapies as a research and development officer in the TRGENMER (Transgenic Cell Technologies and Epigenetics Application and Research Center) Laboratory of Üsküdar University. Her project to developt based on Recombinant Freezing Solution with hsp70 protein from Milnesium tardigradum, has received support from TUBITAK 2209-A and continues the work of her project.
